Veterinary Radiology

Radiology – or X-rays – helps our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular (heart), cardiopulmonary (heart and lung), gastrointestinal (stomach and intestines), reproductive and urinary systems. Our Riverside experts are able to radiograph any size of dog or cat and provide contrast radiography for the gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, joints, cardiovascular system, and spinal cord.

The radiology system at Riverside is a state of the art DR system where digital images are available for interpretation 4 seconds after being taken. These images are viewable throughout the hospital on any computer screen. This enables us to treat and diagnose much faster than conventional radiography and is creates less stress for our patients. These images can be sent electronically to referral hospitals or for interpretation by a radiologist which also speeds diagnosis and efficiency of care. We can even email the images to your home computer or smart phone so that you can see what we see.
